Recent loft jobs around Cardiff
Real jobs, real lofts: what we found, what we did and how it turned out. Every write-up comes from our own installs across Cardiff and the surrounding towns.
A neglected loft cleared and re-insulated
An older loft with decades of debris, loose cabling and very little insulation left between the joists. We cleared it and insulated it properly.
Full loft boarding in an older home
A big, open loft in an older house with a blockwork gable. The owners wanted to use the whole space, so we boarded it out wall to wall.
New loft insulation in an older cut-roof loft
An older loft with a traditional cut roof and a boarded strip for storage. We laid fresh mineral wool across the open bays and kept the storage area usable.
Raised loft boarding in a modern trussed loft
A modern home with a trussed roof and a loft that was hard to use. We boarded a clear central walkway and storage area around the hatch, leaving the insulation either side to do its job.
