How much loft insulation should I have?
The widely recommended depth for mineral wool is 270mm. Many older Cardiff homes have 100mm or less, which was standard decades ago. If you can see the tops of your ceiling joists, it is almost certainly worth topping up.
How long does the work take?
Most standard loft insulation jobs are finished in a single day, including the tidy-up. Bigger jobs, such as removing old insulation, boarding a large loft or spray foam removal, can take longer, and we will tell you how long to expect when we quote.

Can I still store things in my loft after it is insulated?
Yes, as long as the boards are raised above the new insulation. Laying boards straight onto 270mm of insulation squashes it and cuts how well it works. We fit raised loft boarding on loft legs, and can add a metal loft ladder and lighting at the same time.
